85 vs 145 speedo
TBH, I think the look of the two-handed mph/kmph speedo looks goofy and unique at the same time. My tach doesn't work (likely not plugged into distributor correctly AND a bad board in the cluster) so I'm going to have to remove the cluster (which seems like a PITA). So should I look at replacing the speedometer with a 145, or is it not worth the hassle? Do people ever change out the odometer as well from a 5 digit to a 6 digit?

Thanks!

Re: 85 vs 145 speedo
I swapped mine from a 85mph idiot light cluster to a 145mph gauge cluster and transferred the odometer over so it was correct for the body. It was real easy, just have to be super careful when doing it. I doubt you would be available to change to a reel without the tenths as it probably requires different gearing to operate. You'll also have to fix the trip meter on the 145mph speedo, there's a really good guide here somewhere.
