I bought Recaro seats for my 15th Anniversary Trans Am from eBay. For whatever reason, the seller removed the seats shortly after buying his Trans Am in ‘84. And the seats remained stored in an air conditioned home for 40 years. They were expensive, and they’re the real deal. The seats are in incredible condition. It was if I used a Time Machine to go get replacement seats. Last night, I went to the garage and just sat in the car for 10 minutes. Wow

 

The delivery felt like that scene from A Christmas Story.

Here is all the info I've accumulated for refurbishing these Recaro seats. Should anyone else want to refurbish their seats.

Capital Seating in the UK has replacement foam for the LX seats. This is the response I got:Thanks for the email message.

Yes we can supply foams for the Recaro seats. As these are a modular seat based on the LX we might need to check a few things or sizes to make sure the foams we can supply are correct or at least will be close enough. Please see description and links below for the foams

Thanks for compliments. I really appreciate them. This has definitely motivated me to finish up some projects on my list. Like the instrument gauge back lights and some interior panel refurbishment. I sold my old recaro's a few days ago to a fellow Texan.
