PCM connector replacement

the 4 main PCM connectors are toast on my 95 LT1 harness. There are three broken wires, three broken connectors and a bunch of crimped wires. Rather than chase electrical gremlins, I'd rather replace them. Any idea where to get new connectors and pins?

Thanks

New connectors from GM will be a bit pricey. You can take a pair of dykes to the boneyard and cut off some replacement connectors. The pins are easily removed, so it would be no problem to transfer over the undamaged wires, then simply splice the "new" wires to replace whats damaged.

Well I figured the prices would be high. My luck at the bone yards has been negligible, with most of the 4th gens I've found being gutted.

Will the pcm connectors for a V6 work by chance? Guess I should take a look the next time I'm there

Thanks

PCM connectors are color coded. I "think" as long as you get the same colors, you should be OK.

Alright, snagged some connectors off of two different v6 4th gens at the junkyard, and a set of off a late model sunfire. They all fit in the bottle of my toolbox and worked fine. So now the PCM connectors are taken care of, now I can get back to the rest of the nightmare

So basically, the PCM connectors are universal. I did have to punch out some holes in the plastic backing on the ones from the Sunfire. They mount that PCM in front of the passenger tire......
I like how the colored plastic pops off and you can interchange the connectors as needed. Purty sweet and it saved me some bucks

thanks for the heads up B
