Speedo not working

After the swap..... I've tried connecting the output to the red/black and pink/black wire on the C207 connector to no avail. All the other guages work now.

Any suggestions? I'm going on a 2 hr road trip and the speedo working would be nice since its all interstate and I havent' got the cruise hooked up yet! LOL

Edit: 91Z28 w/ 95 LT1/T56

well first, go into your profile and say what kind of car you have.

then tell us if you have a LS1, LT1 or whatever... and what trans if its not the stock one for that motor..

assuming you have a electric speedo in your car, just take the 4000ppm output wire (cant tell you what one since i donno what engine/harness you have) and connect it to the gauge, BYPASSING any buffer boxes.

Yeah, that info would be helpful......

I connected the speedo output wire to the C207 connector. I can see the speed on the scan tool, just not getting it at the speedo

Thanks

Hey Jason find the yellow buffer box on the car, you will splice the output wire into the wire in pin C on the buffer wireset which is a tan wire. Here is the picture of what you should have. It doesn't go into the 207 connector.

The box should be located on the lower passenger side of the dash. You'll have to remove a trim panel and then remove the box. It is no longer needed.

Thanks to Z28ric<x>er, the speedo is working.

I have a VIN F car, so no buffer box that I could find. I had hooked the speedo up to the input wire for the cruise. The Speedo is a gray wire. Now it works fine.

I will need a buffer box if I want to retain the crusie, as it uses a 2000ppm signal vs the speedo's 4000ppm signal

Thanks for the help though

Nah, just go pull a cruise module from a 4th gen car.
