Spohn Performance makes the tubular k-member.

http://www.spohn.net

I think I would run it on the street. I dont see why it would be a problem, but others may have other opinions.

Any reason you can't buy it direct form Spohn then?? It's not listed on their website.

Thanks,

Kevin D.

spohn does make the kmember, but Im not sure why it doesnt sell it. If I recall correctly, it was Bruces design and maybe Spohn just physically makes them for him...that sounds right to me. But anyway, i drive my car on the street and havent had any problems yet with the k-member saftey wise. Then again i only have maybe 75 miles on the car.

a local shop makes it for him, seem to work fine on the street, i have been using is for the last 4 months on the terriable detroit roads. I think he told me he was going to have someone new make it for him since they messed some stuff up(spring pockets too small for eibach springs, and few other things). If your going to go coil over then i say go for it its pretty nice, that or wait for BMR to come out with there ls1 conversion one cause theres looks nice. Only good thing about Hawks is they have the best customer serivice i have come accross.

I've got the Hawks tubular as well, I like it.

Unforunatly its still sitting on the floor waiting for a couple more parts before I put the motor in.

The only thing I thought sucked was it didnt come with any bolts and my stock bolts dont seem to work. So I called Bruce up and asked him to find me the bolts he uses on his swaps and to send em with my headers I just ordered. So if he ponys up the bolts, then it will definitly be the best product and support out there.

Just an update:

Talked with Bruce yesterday. Justin is right, they used to be made locally up until a week ago. They will now be made by Spohn. He has the jig and pieces and should have a test unit by next week.

So the good news is they should have cleaner welds and better powder coating. The bad new is Bruce is saying a 6-8 week wait just in case of problems. He expects them to be ready sooner, but can't be sure.

So my swap is held up until they're ready..

Just an FYI, on my hawks K-member the pass side A-Arm actually rubs a little, so I'm gonna have to take a BFH to the a-arm to get good clearence until I can get tubular
