You don't really need a tubular k-member, lots of swaps done using the stock k-member.

AJE Racing makes a tubular K member for Third Gens, but its not meant for the LS1 swap. You would have to make 2 plates to bring the mouting points back for the LS1 conversion mounts. The pic illustrates this in red with the LS1 conversion mount showing how far back it needs to be.

None at all. I was just trying to give you an alternative. Looks like your waiting for the shipping. Just trying to help...

Your choices are either to

Modify your stock K-member to work.
Use the A/C relocation bracket
Modify a tubular non-LS1 K-member to work.
Wait in line like the rest of the people that want the Hawks/Spohn K-member.

I got my LS1 K-member from Hawks before he decided to go to Spohn, and well, I got a workable, but not perfect product. So you can feel two ways about it, happy that you didn't get the old product, or pissed that you have to wait while Spohn catches up on all the backorders that Hawks has....

Does anyone have any problems with the BMR one? I know it's more $$, but I don't want to wait 3 months to put everything back in if the BMR is of good quality.

don't think there is anything wrong with the BMR k-member. It cost $499.95 and you can't use the stock a-arms, must use BMR's($329.95 for coilover a arms and $439.95 for OE replacement's). If you plan on using spings in the front and not coilovers you need to buy the upper spring mounts that adds $89.95.

so.....
$1029.85+tax & shipping for an OE setup
$829.90+tax, price of coilovers & shipping

Ok, good. It looked pretty beefy, but it's a last resort if nothing comes out by the time I need it, as I sure don't want to shell out more $ for a-arms.

Nick (Solomotorsport) is having some serious issues with his AJE tubular K member. I dont know if I personally would feel comfortable with that K member in my car.

I remember reading somewhere where a person had some problems with a set of PA a-arms. They broke while she was driving the car.

this is what i used as well. unfortunately the picture above was dead on so i triangulated the mounts with extra bracing just in case. $600 later and it works like a charm.

I'll be going to a BMR so I guess we'll see what happens. If it holds up well, then it's definately worth the money... we'll see!
