So tell me...

If I swapped in the fourth gen dash and possibly steering wheel, how much of the wiring harness would I have to modify?

I did the LT1 swap first and then months later, the dash swap. I had a Z28 LT1 and a Firebird dash so I had to wire them as two separate projects anyway.

I would wire them separate, one project at a time. You're going to have to shorten the harness quite a bit anyway and customize it, otherwise you are going to have your interior LT1 wire harness folded over a couple times and just have one big mess.

If you want to tackle both projects at once, wire up the LT1 first. The benefit of doing both the projects at once would be the dash not being there, allowing better access to the wires.

I dont know anything about steering wheel swaps.

Sorry, I meant LS1 harness. And the way it's looking, this is going to be a flat out project car. Not gonna need to drive it around too much, so I figure I should kill all the birds with one stone.
