which T56 crossmember?

I am deciding on either a Spohn or a Skulte. The price difference is negligable but I have read here that Spohn delivery time was way to long. Does anybody know if this has been fixed. I need the crossmember in the next two weeks so I can have everything to do the swap.

This will be for a 97 T56 in an 86 Z.

I got my Spohn crossmember in under a week. Fits well and no problems at all with it.

My spohn crossmember took under a week to get here, and also ditto to what was said above it definently is the lowest hanging part on my car and it hits speedbumps a lot. Its a scary noise when it scrapes and everytime i hit a bump my teeth clinch lol.

Also if you have alston SFCs they may interfer where it mounts. If you ever run a true dual exhaust system it looks like it would be hard to clear.

However there is a way to fix that......take a grinder to the piece that hangs down. That's what has been done to a few so it would clear.

Dont forget about drews crossmember... That seems to be the next best choice next to the spohn. Running exhaust is easy, seems to clear things well. However you cant run a crossmember mounted torque armwithout adding the bushing mount. But thats no biggie.

My vote is spohn if you are just needing a basic crossmember.

the drews design crossmember is the best choice out there IMO....

the only reason everyone cant run one, is that some people have torque arms that mount to their crossmembers.
