Gauge wires

My aftermarket harness has a speedo and a tach outputs. They are single wire leads. As most of you know, the inputs for the gauges are two wires. How do I get these hooked up to work? I still have the plugs on the stock harness (Which have two prongs on the plug). Do I cut them off and hook up all three wires? (The 2 from the body harness and the one from the ecu harness?)

Thanks alot for the future help!

Aren't the gauges 3 prong? Power, ground and signal. I replaced mine with autometer gauges but I remember screwing around with the original ones for a bit.
