LQ9 Swap Begins
Ok..well i finally did it. Got up enough nerve to sale my Procharger to help fund my latest idea...6.0L swap. Purchased the 6.0L off e-bay and it needed a build. After seeing it apart a really had no idea why?? Well one thing led to another and now I purchased a 408 stroker kit and just got it in the mail today. Should have the engine back from the machine shop next week! YAY!Need to get the heads ordered soon (L92). Ill have to keep you posted! Feel free to post any ideas or experiances.

Are you going FI or carb? I'm thinking about doing a similar swap...just not stroking.

Wicked! I recommend Patriot Gold springs. I cant say enough good things about them. Make sure you get a healthy cam for that 402
Not sure when your completion date is but Weiand ( stark industries ) has a new fuelly intake coming out that is supposed to out perform the FAST 90 for less money and to make it better they are making a version for the L92/LS7 ports so your golden! Good luck on the build keep us posted I too am already planning a bigger cube engine hehe

Re: LQ9 Swap Begins
Yeah, I wish I'd have heard about that new intake before I ordered my L76, I might've waited for it.
But then again, maybe not - I'm a little leery of being one of the first ones to use a brand-new design, & since the L76 comes with a throttle-body
(albeit DBW), injectors, fuel rails, bolts, etc, it's still a pretty good deal.
Good luck on your build, keep us informed as to how it turns out!

Re: LQ9 Swap Begins
Well thanks guys! I'm gonna go fuel injection. The intake is the problem with the l92 heads. Not a whole lot out there. Hoping for someone to come out with a better intake soon. My goal is to have it done and running this spring (you know how that goes). Take some pics of block when i get it back from the machine shop.
