STB w/ LS1 swap?

Will a STB designed to work with a LS1 engine swap? I'm thinking about getting one, but don't want to have to buy another after the swap.
Thanks!

Ask Hawks. They seem to make it work.

Hmm. Good point. I'll have to see what they use.

Re: STB w/ LS1 swap?

I'm doing pretty good. Just got this semester paid off which is good. I haven't got it started yet, but I have started buying parts. Fueling components should be here within a couple of weeks and I'm ordering my cat-back when the income tax return gets here.

The photo Drummer Dad posted is my car. The strut tower brace is a Edelbrock. Made for TBI / Carb. It was in there before Hawks did the swap for me. It fits well , no mods needed.

Sweet car. I didnt know. I just knew if anyone had an idea, it would be Hawks. Thats the best photo they had, so I snatched it.

Glad to see youve started Aaron. I just bought my LT1, and the tranny. Also have the ECM and wiring enroute by Z28r!cer. I couldnt get it in this year, because I found some trouble with the engine. So next years budget should do it, I hope. Just have a little more to get, and I should be driving an LT1 powered 3rd gen. Anything beats the L03.

Re: STB w/ LS1 swap?

Check out BMR's strut brace. I have one and really like it, pretty stout piece.

Re: STB w/ LS1 swap?

Thanks for the info on STBs, guys. Looks like I can get the TBI one and not need another when the engine is in.

Wow, you're really ahead of me then. I've still got a crap-ton of parts I need to buy before I can even get the engine/transmission. Should be alot of fun with the LT1 in it. Are you going A4 or M6? Lemme know if you need any help. I need a ride when it's done!
Not anything beats the L03....just most lol.
