Drive-by-wire pedal note

Hey guys, figured I'd share this while it's still fresh in my mind...

I just got off the phone w/ a couple of local Chevy dealers. I asked each of them if the Corvette DBW accelerator pedal assembly could be used with the truck/SUV engine controllers (ECMs). The first one said "Sure, no problem", the other said that they were fairly sure that they were different. I asked him to confirm, so he looked up the values for the Vette pedal & compared them to those for the truck/SUV line. They were, in his words, "the exact same document". This is good news for those of us who are trying to use truck engines in vehicles that don't have a bunch of vertical/under-dash clearance...

Just for reference, the pedals each have two "accelerator pedal position" (APP) sensors, each of which has 3 leads - a 5v reference, a low reference, & a signal lead. One of them (he was talking pretty quickly, so I didn't get to note everything that I wanted to) -probably the signal lead- has a voltage that varies from 'less than 1 volt' to '4 volts', depending on the position of the throttle pedal.

The other -probably the low lead- has a voltage that ranges from a half-volt to two volts, again, depending on the position of the throttle pedal.

I know that this isn't a LOT of info, but it should be enough to do at least some basic troubleshooting if/when necessary, and I figured that the interchangeability info would be helpful to someone other than just me...
