i need some help??!!

ok i have weighed my ideas and decided to buy a ls3 engine for my swap. i been looking up adons an things and have found u can roughly get 900hp at about same torque my prob is i cant find a trani that i can put in that would suport that at least thats automatic, i dont know how to drive stick....lol and i dont want to have to do any conversion from auto to manuel. I know that i wont have that kinda power for a little time but i dont want to have to change my trani again so can any one tellme what tranies will fit and can deal with that power?. I have looked at automatic 6spd but i dont know if it would fit or bolt in any help be grate

First question: What do you plan to do with the car with that kind of power?

I would say you should tough it out and learn how to drive stick and do the conversion. Your life will be a million times better if you do this. Trust me.

In order to even be allowed to go down the track, you might as well plan on a roll cage. Since you're going to have to do that, "fit" isn't going to be in your vocabulary, since you're going to be fabricating most everything, anyway. 900 HP is a BUNCH of power, and you need to plan carefully everything needed to handle it. "Tubular" and "custom" will be a big part of your new vocabulary.

Re: i need some help??!!

yeah i figured that lol i aready been planning on bying sophn's tubular cradle set up and frame rails. but i been trying to figure the right way to run with this. so far 6l80e i looked at only handles 450tq but I see that a 4l80e can be made to handle 1000 hp?? would that bolt onto an ls engine and how well does it fit I mean will I have to custom a lot of parts to put this trani in?

Re: i need some help??!!

First off, how much money do you think it'll cost to do that?

Second, given your current income, how long will it take for you to get that much money?

I can lay out a step-by-step "recipe" that will result in that much power (or pretty close to it), but I want to see the answers to the two questions above first...

Re: i need some help??!!

Powerglides and TH400 will handle that power. I've seen very few 900hp LS3s
