I'll have to look up the seller information.

I don't have the swap finished. The project got put on hold over the summer.

You can use either a 3rd or 4th gen driveshaft. They are the same length.

Where'd you hear that?

The spohn mounts make it so the motor is in teh stock position and does not require a custom driveshaft.

yeah but with a T56 the shifter location may move back alittle and you have to modify the center console...atleast thats what you have to do with LT1/L98 motors with a T56 swap

Re: I need to know where from I can buy an LS1/T56 for a good price

I would go for a 07 6.0 VVT engine out of a truck, and just change the acc drive to LS2 and your done.

if you can go with the 6 speed 6L90E with that engine, Real cheap i got my engine/tranny for about 2.5k

Tranny is a direct bolt in for the 700R4, and with the Spohn K-Member you should get it done right the first time. This setup up should put you in the high 12's, and plus with the 4.02 first gear on the tranny you can run 3.23's in the back, dont need a stall converter,And get about 30mpg+ on overdrive. Plus if you want you can go with the Tap up Tap down feature with a aftermarket steering wheel.

Im currently doing this swap.

Speartech harness, Spohn stuff, and some band aid, a case of beer, and one retarded friend to guid you on the setup. You should be ok.

call 518-587-0129 ask for Joyce for the engine and tranny, also make sure you get the ECM that came with the engine out of the same truck is for a 6 speed if you want to go that route.

I know what a big hassle it is, but your saving big on truck engine. Thats what im trying to tell you. Shipping a LS1 or a LS2 or a truck engine is going to be the same. The math is down their. Im trying to give you the cheapest alternative.

Truck VS LS2 prices.

Truck Engine tranny combo. $2800 for 6.0/6 speed auto 4rth gen block

plus about 1k to convert it to LS2. Total $3800 for engine tranny.

LS2 Engine tranny combo. $6400 for 6.0/T56

Or you dont have to convert the acc drive and just mod the hood with a 6 inch cowl scoop. Thats another 1k in savings right their.

www.fpartssalvage.com
They do whole kits from 4th gen cars. It is not the cheapest way, but my guess is they are one of the most complete. They take everything from the car.
I got a great deal on an LS1, but like most deals, there is a lot more work to be done. From Florida, it's fun, and a bit of an adventure. From Malta, I imagine it would be a royal pain in the butt.
