Re: Looking for LT1!!
Not to mention removing LT-1's from gen 4 cars is a major project. The whole engine cradle assembly, needs to come out the bottom. Another source to try is "corvetteforum.com." Lot's of parts for sale there. Complete engines seem to be a rarity, though.

Re: Looking for LT1!!
you can also try http://car-part.com/ Good info on there to find a complete motor in your area. $675 is a good deal though. I paid $525 for my 60,000 mile lt1 from an impala ss w/ wiring harness and computer.

Re: Looking for LT1!!
Iron headed LT1s arent a bad thing BTW.... those iron LT1 heads flow as well as the LT4 heads, maybe better. Just have bigger chambers (64cc VS 54cc for alum)

Re: Looking for LT1!!
But... cams aren't expensive and an LT1 can use any cam designed for a factory SBC roller block, so theres alot of selection. Aluminum GM heads are cheap as well if you wanted them. Its not uncommon to find a good set of F-body or Corvette LT1 heads for around $200-250.
