FS: Spohn T56 crossmember
I just bought this from Justin aka ghettocruiser, only to have my friend talk me out of doing a T56 swap. I'm going with a nicely equipped, 3,600 stall 4L60E. So I don't need this crossmember anymore. It is used and slightly trimmed down to accomodate the SSW's Hawks longtube headers (it was on Justin's car). He gave me a generous deal on the crossmember, and I'd like to pass the deal onto someone else. I just want the money that I have in it, plus I went and bought two new rotator plates for it from Spohn's replacement parts directory. It needs a new rubber bushing for the torque arm mount. Someone can have it for $70 shipped

I got some... Its probably cleaner now, and it has the connector/rotator plates with it.

I think what Justin did was trim down the mounting arears. If you look at the first picture where the three holes are made to mount to the body, the inner sides are trimmed down.

Haha...I must have done a decent job since the cuts arent 100% visible
Basically the vertical pieces of steel that join the mounting flanges to the cross support ran all the way to the end of the mounting flanges. I trimmed them back to try to sneak the y-pipe around it. There is a thread that I started around here somewhere that shows why I had to cut and shows it installed on the car with the y-pipe.
Probably find some pre-cut pics in that thread also. Its still a great piece. Especially if you are running a custom exhaust. Strong and it fits well.
Its a decent deal for someone piecing together their swap parts.

You know, I think I might just do the same thing on my crossmember...

I'm not sure but their phone number is on their website if you want to call and ask. I would think either one would work, because I asked and they just said you have to use their torque arm, that a stock one won't work.

Shhhhhh. I might be, I gotta figure out some finances pretty quick. A friend of mine works for a guy selling a T56 that has been rebuilt ($1,800 rebuild) with straight cut gears and some other internal goodies, with a centerforce clutch and flywheel for $800. I am probably going to snag it next weekend. So as of right now, the sale of the cross-member has been postponed.

Great deal if you get that. Most people want big bucks for used, worn out T56s.
