Need help identifying this LS1 Intake

Hey Guys,

I need some quick help with something, I'm having my PCM reprogrammed and the LS1 Fbody intake (and injectors) I got off eBay hasn't made it here yet. I need to give him my injector part numbers.

Is there anyway to tell visually what year a LS1 intake is? I need to know if this one is a 1998 or 1999- 2000 .

I know the 1998 uses a return line at the fuel rail but I can't tell from the pic. The 1999 and up uses a single line, I'm thinking this is a 99 - up intake but not sure.

Name: intake.png

Size: 333.3 KB

I found out that the injectors between the years have two different numbers.

832-11165 (1999 – 2000 LS1)
832-11181 (1998 LS1)

Any ideas? If not I'll have to wait on the intake to come in :whine:

Yes it has EGR, but I thought the 99's did too.

My problem is that I don't have the intake in my hand yet, I bought it on eBay and it shipped 12/16/09 but the seller bait and switched the shipping method, I paid for UPS and he sent it USPS Parcel post......it's not here yet.

I was hoping someone could visually tell what year it is because that would tell me what injectors it has.....and I could forward that info to the guy doing my PCM programming.

It's supposed to be a low mile (60,000) all original intake set-up. He said it was a late 90's early 2000's intake in his description but never said an exact year.

Re: Need help identifying this LS1 Intake

Only 97-98 corvette rails had the return line

All Fbodys are returnless

Not sure on the EGR years, but this intake has it. Its the hole behind the TB flange

Get the PCM tuned for the 26lb injectors. Worst thatll happen is itll run rich if the injectors turn out to be 28's. You can touch up the tune later

LS1/6 differences are easy, just flip it over. Curvy bottom means LS1, LS6 is flat

Since the seller is proving to be less than savory, be sure to inspect the fittings at the rear of the intake. Those are very easy to break and USPS isnt the nicest

Re: Need help identifying this LS1 Intake

2001 & 2002 did not have the EGR port. This intake is a 2000 back. Don't know if this helps, as it could have either injector. If you can't wait, as Pocket said tune for the 26's. It will only be a tad rich.

Curious why you need to know. As stated, '98-'00 are basically the same.

There's a sticky on injectors in the top section of this sub-forum.
