VERY Nice build. I see you have the spohn A arms too. From your pic above it also looks like the front wheels stick back farther. Have you noticed any problems?

Nice. Personally, I would like to see it a shade lower but it's not my car. Either way, you are going to have a killer ride when it's done.

Looks really nice!!! Like mine but blue instead of white. It´s hard to find better looking/fitting wheels than Z06 copies in 18" all around for a third gen I think.

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
I have not noticed any issues with the spohn a arms. I have nothing but high remarks for the spohn products I have bought. I just had my alingnment done and it came out perfect. Also sorry I have not updated in a while my car is in my old shop getting some chips taking care of.

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
Small update: Picked up a bmr adjustable torque arm (used) primed and painted it today. Also primed my custom intake and painted it with an aluminum paint. I thought along time about what i wanted to do with it. This seems to look pretty damn good. I will post pics of how it looks when she is dry. -Tim

Im in the middle of getting some chips in my paint work taken care of. That's why I have been slow on the updating. As soon as I get her back I will be back at it. I have not purchased the trans yet. Waiting for tax return. - Tim

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
Must feel soo great to finally get it running.
I´ve been working on my intake now for the last week, and the heater hoses too. But it feels like a long way until I can turn the key....
Congrats to you!

I got mine from Bigbrakeupgrade.com too. I meet the guy in a White Castle parking lot - as he is local. I believe he uses brake motive rotors.

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
This car turned out SO clean I'm jealous. I've got to go back through mine and re-do some stuff so I'll be 100% happy with it. I love your cage I can't stop staring at it in the video. Any chance you'll have that car down towards St Louis this summer? I would love to check it out and take some photos with the two blue Z's (and my dad's blue one should be done by then too

I don't know where I will end up this summer. Would really love to do the power tour. You should tag along. See if we can get a third Gen lsx swap clan going. :-)

For the marker lights, what you see is nothing in there. Lol. I have order clear lenses. I had them out for my paint work on the bumper cover.

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
It has been a while since a update but here we go. I have finshed up a lot of small odds and ends. Brake lines are all complete and blead. Almost all nitrous wiring is completed. (waiting on my nitrous controller.) My rear tires and wheels are on and fit great. 305/30/18. Ride height is set and looks pretty good. Trailered to my buddys shop and aligned front end. All paint chips where touched up and buffed entire car. Ill attach some photos of the car how she is sitting now. Let me know what you guys think.... or suggest.

OMG I just love your car!!!
Would be great to be able to see it live. I´m headin over to USA for vacation this summer, I will be in Chicago for a week in late July, so maybe with a bit of luck.
Would be great if I could bring my LS2/t56 swap Iroc with me, but It would be too expensive to ship it "back" to America from Sweden....
Anyways, G R E A T work you´ve done!

lookin' good, but why put the crossbar so low that it makes the cage not legal?

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
The cage was built around sparco seats ( they sit 2" lower). I put the factory seats back in. The reason the cage was built around those seats was for t top lever clearance. With the sparco seats the cage is certified 10.0

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
the crossbar on the main hoop is what i'm talking about, it's supposed to be shoulder height so you can mount the 5pt harness to it. it's way to low, looks like it's nearly touching the DS tunnel...with that in it's current location, it won't cert at all. however, if you had that in place correctly, it'd be good to 8.50 probably, as long as the tubing is correct diameter and thickness (1 5/8" diameter, .120" for DOM or .083" for 'moly)

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
My missunderstanding. I thought u where referring to the halo bar. Yes the rear cross bar is to low. Butt its that low so you can still fit passengers back there.

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
Worked a little yesterday on figuring out the pcv system. I made a 1/8" 27 npt bung on the lathe. I need to weld it in to my intake tube after the mass air meter. Here are the pics.

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
Well I decided I was not happy with the weld in the intake i made. So i filled the bend with more weld, ground it down then, used a lightweight filler, sanded that. Then i used a high build primer, sanded that then sprayed it with a aluminum paint. I hope all that effort paid off. The pcv bung is welded in on the bottom of the tube now. I just need to drill the holes on the mounting bracets and mount her up.

Re: 91 camaro ls3 swap
That looks super great. But how are the mounts for that pipe, remember if your not using poly motor mounts the engine moves around a bit, so that you don´t damage anything like the TB.
Anyways, nice aluminum finish on that tubing. One of the nicest ones seen in a third gen I think
