finally finished my swap. thanks for all the help and info in this forum it was awesome!

a few observations-

1. the hawks headers fit fine with my 4l60e. no mods required.
2. it appears my ride height has not changed. i am running hotchkis lowering springs and the ride height is the same.
3. the ls1 in a 3rd gen is even better than i imagined! this thing is a blast to drive!

 

Very nicely done man, looks like it came from the factory this way. Hope you have fun with it, that thing is definitely a sleeper!

That's one of my favorite color combo's for the IROC-Z. The swap looks killer by the way, very clean.

 

Which Hawks headers did you go with? 1 3/4" 3" collector. the o2's lined up nice and reversed the shifter arm.

good stuff! how's chuck's tune? the other half jason did the tune. chuck was on vacation but i never could of got it going without him.

Looks good man, hope to have another third gen converted soon, but it will be carbed like my 89.

 

Which of the coil bracket bolts end up having those arrow shaped tops to mount the covers on? I bought a set to try to cut up for my carb combo but looks like I could move the bolts around a few spots to mount them.

 

it snaps on to the fuel rail and just sits on top of the coils.

 

oh in that case i won't be able to mount them onto my motor
