Re: shorty headers for ls1,2,3,ect.

looks like it could work, especially with a 3rd gen stock style exhaust routing

dont have all the angles though, not sure if hte collectors would hit the steering shaft. it almost looks like the collectors are aiming out, which would not work

Re: shorty headers for ls1,2,3,ect.

#5&6 plug look pretty rough to get to with the BBK headers

I dont see a whole lot of difference in those headers vs the 98-02 Fbody shorties. I like how the BBKs label the manifolds as "restrictive" even though they are essentially a cast version of BBKs header

Re: shorty headers for ls1,2,3,ect.

you'd probably have better luck (and lower costs) by sticking with 4th gen shorties. more vendor out there, we know the stock mani's fit no problem, probably some used ones out there too for little cash

Re: shorty headers for ls1,2,3,ect.

for an ls1 people recommend getting a set of 01-02 fbody manifolds. they flow almost just as well as the aftermarket shorty headers. so stock manifolds or long tubes would be the way to go for an exhaust

I have a set of 10 camaro manifolds, when i do the swap in my 86 TA i will see if the fit right, but they are for doing a turbo project on the car.

I tried a set of them when I first did my swap and they did not work. The dumps were right on top of the k member.

Wow, I was really looking at getting set of 2010 camaro manifolds but with this...damn. I figured they'd basically be the same as the3 98-02 versions based on how they look.

Yeah that is what I originally thought too. But the 98-02 manifolds kick back further than the 2010 manifolds.
