LS2 fuel rail covers, if you are using them, come on in.
I kind of got fed up working on my rear end today so I got the LS2 fuel rail covers I bought a while ago and was going to try and get them put on.
I got the driver side one on without any problems, for the most part. It's not really secured down, because I'm using truck coil brackets and coils so the two suction cup looking things don't meet any of the bolt heads. So pretty much it's just sitting on the fuel rails and the rubber c-clip is holding them on. And I have my stainless steel fuel line wedged in the molded crack which is holding it down too in a way.
My problem seems to be the passenger side cover. I think I can move my heater core lines over enough to fit the cover on, but there are two solid things in the way. One is the throttle cable bracket because LS2's had drive by wire. And the other thing is the dip stick tube. Those two things I can't seem to get around. My RevXtreme oil catch can will probably hit the front face of the cover, but I can either shim out the catch can a half inch or I can trim off the edge of the cover to go over it.
What did you guys do with the dip stick tube and the throttle cable bracket? I think I may try putting a slit/hole in the cover for the throttle cable bracket, but I'm not sure what to do about the dip stick tube. Can you guys show me some pictures of what you did, and explain how you did it? That would be awesome.
I'm stuck for now with just one cover on .

i dont have them. but they sort of remind me of the denali truck covers. they look sweet. i like the way they cover most of it up. especially of you get them painted. that would be sweet. what did they come off of.
reason i am asking is--i helped a friend put a supercharger on an 04 gto with 60000 miles on it. i have the heads, ls6 intake, 80mm bbk throttle body, oil pump, timing chain and cam from his engine. i also have the cam, lifters, and pushrods. so now instead of a vortec engine i am going lsx.

I am suffering a similar fate, don't know why I didn't research this first. I just got my C5 style covers and they won't fit because I have truck coils / brackets

I'm still trying to fit the ls6 corvette ones onto my setup with a super victor carb intake, I'm guessing I'll be cutting and fitting for a while, but can't wait to see the end result.

I bent the ever living hell out of my dipstick, notched the cover, chopped the front corner off for the TB cable and actually at the rear corner to get it to sit down far enough. It's actually pretty hacked up. I'm not liking it much but it looks better than my truck coils/wiring. I'd really like to get a full carbon cover that does both coilsets and the intake but I don't want to spend the money just to chop it up if it doesn't fit.
I remember that PM you sent me but I haven't had a digicam in forever to take pictures.

This is what I bought for the LS2 going into my car.:

They are Holden covers. I got them from a land down under website. Kinda pricey at little over $200 but this was one of those personalizations that I had to have. The 6.0 and Gen-4 are actually molded in in black lettering. There are some colored decals from an aftermarket vendor website that are available in a variety of colors to match the car if you so choose. If anyone is interested PM me and I will forward the links.
