ls1 injectors on 5.3 tune

Car: 1998 Trans/Am, 1989 RS Camaro
Engine: LS1, LQ9 6.0
Transmission: 4L60E, 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 2.73, 2.73
ls1 injectors on 5.3 tune
My tuner is tellin me that the ecu doesn't need to be tuned for the ls1 inj. He says the ecu can compensate for the slight change. Is this true?

A better question, it only takes a few seconds to change the value, why not?

which LS1 injectors? 28 or 26#? when i ordered my Tuned ECM from spareecm on ebay, he asked me which specific injectors i was using so i assume its important. Tune runs my 5.3 awesome.

I forgot to look at my injectors last night but is there any trueth to what he is saying? This car is going on 2 road trips next month and i cant afford to be down.

it should be "callibrated" for the correct lb/hr injector. otherwise it can't control the fuel efficiently.
