From my experience, the fly by wire is just the beginning. I have a C5 engine, so I thought I'd keep the fly by wire. NOW I have to fit the silly pedal in the footwell. Already, I have cut it down. Still no easy way. An ace fabricator friend of mine is going to work it out.
I bet the rest of the pedals are just as hard to fit.

depending on resources in your area.its almost easier to keep the thirdgen gas pedal, use the lokar cable and convert to a cable throttle body.flash the ecu to cable setup.
plus i heard its a pita to learn dbw pedal to dbw throttle body and ecu if all 3 parts did not come from the same car.but i dont have experience with that to comment directly.
using 3rd/4thgen pedals for the rest are your best options

Re: corvette c5 pedals for lsx swap?
A lot of folks prefer the 4th gens, I think for the clutch pedal. I used my 3rd gen pedals, and adapting the clutch pedal was an issue. Otherwise they work fine.
Just today, I was reading someone who kept his 3rd gens, cause he heard they were stiffer.

It's buried in this thread, but there is no link to where he heard that.
I think you have to look at what folks have done, and make your choice.

you can use either 3rd or 4th gen pedals... if you already have 3rd gen manual pedals you can just keep them and modify the pin for the master cylinder interface... if you are swapping from an auto probably easier to just start with 4th gen
