Looking for info on porting and shaving the throttle stop to allow true 90 degree opening of the butterfly. I am skeptical to claims, almost sounds like a "snake oil" mod to me. Any I put is appreciated on the subject, as I see lots of conflicting information on how to do it, and its effectiveness. I have a spare TB, so I'll give it a shot before my 6.0 gets tuned on Wednesday.

If i remember correctly its just a little nub on the outside of the tb that needs to be shaved off. Looks pretty easy to do with a dremel i would think.Ill have to check out my tb to see if its done already. I do remember it being done on previous ls1/ls3s and it did open up more than stock.

you just basically grind the stop till your blade opens at 90 degrees
very simple
for porting your just smoothing the ridge just before the trottle body blade
and thats about it
i wouldnt epoxy the little area for the pcv as it tends to not stay on in the long term
every little bit counts lol

I understand the throttle stop completely.... Didnt know anything about epoxying anything with the pcv though. Verified my appointment with my tuner today, he didnt seem to think much about working on the stock TB, he typically sees 4-5 HP when they are done properly. Just was hoping somebody had pics of a ported one next to a stock one, to get a visual on where to remove material or how to shape it.

when you have 395 hp and want to break 400 you know where to look lmao

Sorry, I see the differences now that yours is ported/polished. Looks very nice, and maybe more simple than I originally thought. Thanks for the pics, was really what I was looking for.
I really wanted to try it with my spare TB before I go for a tune, but I doesnt look like I will have time. Hopefully its something I can do later after a tune without negative consequences...?
