Re: anyone familiar with this company?

Most likely is a individual or two doing conversions on the side. A harness of that style will get you running easily, but there still a fair bit of wiring if you wish to hook up guages, especially if you'd like to keep factory ones. 150 is the cheapest I have seen anybody list these for,and is most likely why you will get charged to replace broken connectors, where a lot of folks just change them without any word.

If you can find a good reference to that place and you don't mind the extra work to make it function in a car, it seems like a good deal. I have a similar listing on Craigslist doig the same thing and they work well in the sand rails and mud trucks we have a silverlake.

Re: anyone familiar with this company?

I haven't seen that ad in my area...yet. Like cam said, you be what you pay for. Modifying a stock harness to stand-alone usually doesn't pose issues with the harness its self, but they really aren't practical for muh else than a bare-bones vehicle like race-cars, and strictly off road vehicles, and that's why it's significantly cheaper than a plug-and-play style harness. It just takes a lot of time to integrate a car harness with a stand alone to make it functional for a thirdgen for guages, charging, and other systems in the car. It's also nessasary to wire the harness through a fuse panel of some sort, which is either more time or more money.

At 150, I don't know how he's making enough money to be worth the while. The materials and relays much be very cheap

Seen similar ad's locally, and the few that had pics posted looked like a joke of a harness, basically it would get you up and running with a ton of wiring still left to do, the relays had just short pigtails off of them for you to add fan wiring from, overall looked like someone who installs radios at best buy didnt know he shouldnt be touching automotive wiring harnesses.

Re: anyone familiar with this company?

Not really relvent, but just wanted to post a pic of what I feel is a quality harness I built. This paticular one was for a DBW 6.0/400TH into a 63' Chevy C10 pickup, I know what Z28ricer is talking about with most harnesses looking like a mess. There are guys who do good work though, I feel Z28ricer and I are of the few. Coiled up leads on the left front are for MAF, trailing off the rear are for HO2s/VSS, leads on right are crank sensor/starter wiring. This paticular owner wanted relays under the dash for fans, and fuel pump, but no fusebox, as he wanted to run the fused ign feeds from his painless harness. His only hookups were a power wire for the pump and each fan, and the 4 ign sources to his fusebox. The relays did not require additional hots and grounds to be wires to them. It's the messy harnesses that give ones like this a bad reputation.

In short, these harnesses can be great, just not typically for a 3rdgen, unless its a drag car or something similar.
