I need info on some equipment that is available to me. It's an LT1 and a 4L60E. The PCM/ECM has 16214399 BSTP and no harness. The only info I found is the PCM is a 1996. No find on the BBC BSTP.
Can anyone help with more info? Like what car(s) it's out off, OBD2 (I think) and anything else. Please and thank you.

You don't say what you plan to do with it but it will need reprogramming ("custom " tune) to remove the security function
and once you get a custom tune it makes no difference " what" it was setup for originally because it can be programmed to suit any LT1 engine you want.

In any case, most convert 96/97 OBDII PCM's back to 94/95 OBDI for ease of install and cheaper tuning

 

Well you're right about going OBD1/7730. The plan is to transplant it into a gen3 or a hotrod. The reason for finding where it came from is, too many sellers advertise it came out of a vette just to ask for more cash. So it's mostly to prove a point. Who knows, maybe the engine was replaced with a substitution.
