Installation went ok didn't need the instructions its pretty straight forward but one question is that does it matter if the tabs face up or down I installed both sides tabs up

any body had instructions , ones ive found at different threads are not clear enough

Re: Prothane LS1 motor mount insert instructions
they go up

on some k members and other types of mounts there is a notch that the tab rests in as a secondary hanger

here is a pic of a bmr k member... you can see the notch in the engine mount locations on the top of each one, those tabs would sit in there

Re: Prothane LS1 motor mount insert instructions
Yea the ls1 swap mounts have notches on top and bottom I see yours have them at the top only
Im using stock k member it looks like one side of the prothane mounts has a longer side than the other which could be a illusion to me lol just dont want the motor to be misaligned

after dropping motor in I realized it and I was like damn hope I don't have to re do this

This is how I installed mines

Notice how one side is longer the metal part to be specific does this affect the alignment

Re: Prothane LS1 motor mount insert instructions
Doesnt matter. The pins help line the engine up on the mounts. As long as they face up when installed on the block, itll work fine. Some Fbody clamshells have a tab on the bottom that identifies F/R. If you get the mount backwards and the tab wont let the mount install properly on the block simply cut it off

Re: Prothane LS1 motor mount insert instructions
Sigh lol just wanted to be sure ..I didn't have issues with the tabs both sides are facing up
i really didn't want to deal with the mounts again between modifying clamshells and dropping in engine+trans wasn't a easy task by myself and about 4 hours and muscle

thanks
