Post pics of your modified LS truck manifolds
I have a pic of some guys truck manifolds from TGO but I cannot seem to find who's they are so I can ask questions. At any rate, I'd like to see how others have modified their manifolds to give me ideas for mine since I'll be doing this on my own. I dont care how ugly it is (if you consider it ugly)..I'm a newbie welder, so I'm sure mine will not look good.

I "should" be welding mine really soon I will try to remember to update this. I was going to fab them up with Sch40 but I found a nice 14awg mild tubing kit on ebay. So im going to fab mine with that. Only thing I can currently offer is how I cut them and where they land on our cars.
K-member will have to be modified just like you would if adding AC. I am using vette accesories so the drivers side is a breeze. Passenger side will require some tight bends as the T4 flange is going between the water pump heater outlets and the frame rail. I pulled the outlets out of the water pump and tapped them for 3/8 and 1/2 NPT so they will be shooting up and out of the way.

I welded mine up last night. Grind them up nice and no issues. I heated mine with a propane torch and cooled them in sand even though I know guys that havnt. Lincoln 110v Mig welder with autoweld gas.
For some reason its only letting me upload one photo

Nice. I like it. There was a guy that cut the manifold and put a exhaust pipe with a v-band flange on the end. Thats what I'm going to do. I havent started cutting my manifold yet though. Just got my welding table and a few other things. I should start welding in 3 weeks though since thats when my MIG lessons start. I'll pick up a chop saw soon and start modding my manifold hopefully in 2 weeks when I'm at that point.

Re: Post pics of your modified LS truck manifolds
my advise for the one on the passenger side (stock drivers side mani. assuming you are flipping for a turbo setup.) is cut it right at the flange. the further up you cut it, it starts to oval. I cut one futher up past the random boss sticking out figureing it would be easier to clear the k member. Still was an issue and added more welding work. Lucky enough I had one spare one and it was the same side.
Here is the Vband on it. Squeezing in whatever time I can with a new born. Man this is gonna be a long build.

BTW..on your engine, which adapter do you have bolted on to it for the motor mounts?
Does the pass side mani clear the k-member with the tubing welded on? is that 2" ex tubing?

So I saw this...
http://dirtydingo.com/store/product_...oducts_id=1439
I can make that. I just dont like the idea of the drivers side exh routed to the back of the pass side. Thoughts? What about the WG being mounted where its at on the DD manifold?

im running spohn kmember mounts with fbody polys on the motor. I had to notch the kmember a bit. Similar to as if I was going to run AC. I am also running Corvette accessories.
I used 2.250 tubing 14awg. bought it from a store on Ebay. around $120 Shipped for a (180 and 45 Jbend, 45 bend, 90 bend, 60 bend and a 180 bend)
Im going divided so will be running 2 wastegates. Not 100% on placement yet.
I should be making a build thread soon. Just waiting to get a bit further on my build since its slow moving.

Re: Post pics of your modified LS truck manifolds
I had a guy fab up the TT kit on my previous third gen and he was doing something similar like the DD kit that I posted a link to (except using a Y to go to the turbo not the way DD is doing it to the back of the pass side mani). So I'm going to do the same thing like him. Just pretty much fab up what is in the link I posted above, re-use a truck mani swapping driver/pass and Y'ing to the turbo.
I'm at the same place you are when you talk about not creating a build thread. I'm in the early stages and dont want to bore anyone/waste their time. LOL. I do have my car painted though. LOL
