Does this piece stay or go? LS1 swap...

There isn't a wire for it in my painless harness so I'm assuming it serves no purpose, correct? Can I remove it and plug the intake? Or does it need to stay?

And what is this piece?

For those of you with a 6 speed, did you guys wrap your clutch hydraulic line with a heat wrap? Mine runs right next to the header... Seems like it would get the fluid too hot.

I've got mine setup to use it (not using a painless harness), it's called a purge solenoid valve. If you have the charcoal canister setup to be used, it needs to run to this valve, so it's not receiving vacuum all the time. If not, ditch the valve.

That's why I don't remember it, it got chucked in the trash lol.

My clutch line just goes a "stock" route, kept it as far from the exhaust as possible, no problems.

Thanks for the help... I yanked it off since I won't be using a charcoal canister

Stupid question probably, but if you remove it, do you need to place a cap of some sort where it connect to the intake?
