Seeking car for my LM7 / 4L80E
Hi all,
I'm looking at a couple of third gens, one's a '91 or '92 Z28, the other is an '85-'90 Firebird V6. The 'bird is unmolested, and lower priced, the Z is modified but is a V8. Both have automatics.
I know the LS4 intake manifold is a choke, but I got one with injectors and rails for free, and I think it should easily fit under either hood.
I like the tall wing on the trunk lid of the Z, and I do not like the view over the hood of the 'bird, but I like the 'bird interior better.
The Z does not have disc brakes on the rear.
Comments, please?

I assume you plan on replacing the rear end as well? It won't really matter if it unmolested and original or if it is a modified v8. You will be putting work into both cars. Personally i like the birds better but the choice is yours. I would go with whichever car is cleanest.

The bonus to the Camaros is that you don't have to worry about the headlight motors going out. I do like the wrap around wings on the Trans Ams and the taillights over the Camaros. Otherwise, other than some interior differences, they're basically the same car. It's more of a personal taste choice. Everyone will have their own opinions and likes and dislikes about either car.

Don't bother with the LS4 intake. You are better off with a used LS1 intake (Almost free) or buy a Dorman LS2 intake. Either are significantly better.

I spotted that yesterday, couldn't find the owner, but this is my new first choice, if I can work a deal.
