MAP Mounting Location
Using the MSD AirForce intake. It has 3 places you can mount a MAP sensor. Front, rear, and rear back of manifold. Also using a Holley LS7 harness that goes with the Dominator ECU. Trying to figure out which location would be the best so I can drill out hole for MAP sensor. Concerned that if I put in wrong spot harness won’t be long enough to reach. Harness is the Holley 558-501. Anyone use this before?

Re: MAP Mounting Location
I don't have that harness but when I tried to use the rear port for my MAP on the FAST intake it came into contact with my firewall. Even though the sensor is small, make sure you will have enough room. Also, there are MAP extension harnesses so put the sensor where it fits best. I had to relocate mine to the top of the manifold, which is ugly, but I didn't have a choice.

Re: MAP Mounting Location
I saw your other post before I saw this one.
I couldn't come up with a straight answer either which is best location in terms of stable MAP readings. From what I gather "results will vary", so I just went with the front passenger side because that's probably where the Corvette Z06 guys probably put it. Seems to work fine for me. I have a little info in post #1100 of my build thread.

One thing for sure is I would not put it in the rear because, as Shifty said, things get packed in real tight back there. Wire harness just doesn't matter. Expect to need a roll of extra wire, solder, and shrink wrap to fix things here and there. It's normal and not big deal.
The Holley harness probably won't fit well anyway. Mine was assembled by a retard with things pointing in the wrong direction and wires routed oddly. I had to pull the whole thing apart and bundle it again, tape, and recover. Also, MSD manifold is enormous so I'd be surprised if the Holley harness fits around the back anyway without some rework. Manifold has much bigger girth and plenum volume than the FAST 102R I had earlier. I had to pull apart the harness again and make it wider in the back to fit around my MSD manifold.

Re: MAP Mounting Location
Am going to mount MAP in same location. Have to get one like yours because the one I bought has mounting clips on the opposite side. (Sigh). Also in pic saw how you used premade hose. Where does it go to once it's hooked up to metal line?

Re: MAP Mounting Location
Regarding the molded hose, I learned with my old engine that a bulk rubber hose from the store will end up collapsing in the bend. It will happen over time with the heat cycles. The MSD has an even tighter bend yet and hose was kinking up from the get go.
What I really wanted to use was the LS3 plastic corrugated flex hose but it will not attach to the MSD intake. So that's when I found the LS6 molded hose. It's not a proper fit but it can be forced into position. And it won't collapse.

My build will be very similar.
