PCM for LT1. 4L60E to T56
Back story is I bought a '97 with an LT1/T56, my daughter wanted the t56 in her '89. I finally have her convinced to use the LT1 now.
Issue is the '97 was originally a 4L60E car.
I understand the wiring needs to be corrected, but also PCM as well.
I need it (PCM) set up like it came with a T56 so I can verify no Check Engine light's, etc, and pass smog with it, before I go after the swap.
Who/where do I go?
Thanks.

You can look at the 97 schematic and see what changes need to be made and use a earlier ecm.

So the 97 you bought is already a M6 car? Or was a LT1 A4 that was later converted to M6? Or did you purchase a T56 separately from the 97 LT1 car?
As for converting a LT1 A4 car to a M6 car, I did that with my 95 LT1. I my original swap was a 1995 LT1 with a 4L60E. I later swapped to a T56. All I did was turn off all the codes related to the automatic. There are differences in the BIN, but nothing that prevents it from running.
Otherwise, you can just flash the A4 PCM with a M6 virgin bin which are available from places.

Could look into a 94-95 pcm so you can flash it yourself using tunerpro for bins and winflash for the flash program which is 20$ from tunercats
there may be some ppl who can do it for you but it be 100$ for credits from jet dst or lt1 esit

Re: PCM for LT1. 4L60E to T56
Thanks all, I found a guy on LS1 tech who said he'd do it for 40$ plus shipping, seems reasonable.
The car was originally a an LT1/A4, heck I didn't even worry about it or looking into it when I bought it. I figured for having all the T56 swap stuff I needed, the price was right, plan was to use the T56 behind the L98, sell the LT1 and whatever else off the car and then knock it in the head.
I wasn't worried about the check engine light when I got it, but with our wonderful laws in Ca., I need to use just about everything from the fuel tank to the front of the engine bay, then get the car certified from the BAR. I'd rather work out any issues in the '97 first, than try to deal with them in the '89.
So, after I get the L98/700R4 out, worked a set of heads for it and got them back from the machine shop, have the L98 stripped down to go through, she starts thinking the LT1 is a better option. Oh well, least her daddy's go-faster mentality is alive and well
At least I'll get to see what's inside an LT1 pretty soon.

Re: PCM for LT1. 4L60E to T56
From a wiring standpoint the T56 needs about 6 wires.
2 for the VSS, 2 for the Reverse lockout, and 2 for the reverse lights.
You can eliminate the skip shift by just removing it.
The entirety of the A4 wiring can just be depinned from the harness except those wires.
