Eliminate third gen filter

Hey guys,

Finished up my ls swap this past weekend and it looks like I'm getting starved for fuel around 4000rpm. I'm going to redo the whole fuel system (new pump, injectors, fitting etc.). While I was under the car I saw the old 3rd gen in line fuel filter. Since I'm using the C5 filter/regulator can I eliminate the third gen filter? If so, what fitting and things are needed?

Thanks

The C5 regulator has a filter and pressure regulator built all into one which eliminates the stock filter. Make sure you don't have a regulator at the fuel rails. You'll need the quick connect adapters to attach to stock fuel lines. Earls, and many others sell them. What fuel pump are you using now?
