Does notching the K-Member for LSX A/C ruin it for SBC?
Just a quick question before I cut into my K - Member again. If I cut the notch for the A/C clearance , does it take out the bolt holes for the Small block motor mounts, or will they still fit fine if I choose to go back to SBC at a later date?
Also, does anyone have the specific part number for the A/C compressor you use in the states, I'm trying to see if this notch/AC setup will work for a right hand drive car in Australia?
I have a relocation bracket on my LS1 for A/C, alternator, and power steering due to clearances, but I'm looking at twin turbo'ing a LQ4 motor I just bough and need to move everything back out of the way.
Thanks guys.

It does not ruin the k-member. The AC relief mod doesn't alter OEM mounting points.

Any idea how important the little triangle brackets are to rigidity?
I was thinking of removing them and either strengthening them to counter removing some of the web so my alternator clears on the other side.
