Running truck accessories, I had trouble routing the aluminum intake tubing without suffering from heat soak and lean spikes on hot restarts. I could have relocated the battery to the trunk and shot the intake in the battery’s position I suppose. Took a gamble, ordered an LS3 Corvette intake box. Had to cut out the hood latch but I wanted to install hood pins anyway. It wouldn’t clear a flat hood but fits a 3” cowl hood like a glove.
Just figured I would share this since I don’t find any information about it online and it’s a cheap alternative to have a true cold air intake. Another pro for the Gen 3 guys, it is the perfect time to run an LS3 MAF and larger TB.
