"NEW" ENGINE, Upgrades BEFORE/AFTER PICS & VID
Engine finally DONE!
I recently got the following done to my engine. I had 3 oil leaks in the car, Rear main seal, Oil gasket, and another leak that no one can figure out where it was coming from. Turns out it would be around $1500-2000 to fix it.. And I thought, what's the point of fixing an OLD 15 year old engine. So I set forth to get the engine remanufactured. I then decided to get a cam, ceramic edelbrock TES headers, ignition system, etc. Total $7000cdn
Here is what was done:

1 - Intake Manifold

Apparently the engine had compression leaks, running quite lean, coolant leakage inside the engine, cracked intake, welded intake with the 6 years the original owner had the car (obviously abused!)

looks great , the headers look good but how come you kept the air injection on it ? looks great though, any plans to take it to the 1/4 mile strip and see how it does.

Re: "NEW" ENGINE, Upgrades BEFORE/AFTER PICS & VID
Yup, I plan to pass with mine. 20yo air system, cant see it working that great anyway. Not to mention new parts these days make our old cars run a hell of a lot better.
I just wanted to say $7k Canadian AKA $5700+ in USD, and that parts list isnt bigger? Well, stock/OEM usually does cost more than aftermarket.
Anyway it looks good. Headers make engine bays so much happier...they look oh so sexy...yummers. Cant wait to post my engine bay...but nothing worth doing so right now. Need to clean up the oil from the busted intake gasket.

Excellent job!
I too have a new crate engine, turns over everytime I ask it to and I never worry about it leaving me stranded. Good insurance and piece of mind.
