Most likely not an 87. 88 or 89. Serpentine setup and later Iroc wheels. T-Tops with a 350 (if it is a 350) would stop it from being a rebadged 1990.

i just recheck and it is an 88,owner said it was an 87 lol.the only thing wrong with it is the maf sensor.and it knocks when u first crank it,but the oil is so thin its like water with all the gas in it.so maybe change the oil maybe it will take care of the knocking.Also my tach/oil/amp guages dont work..thats it..

and now i feel retarded cause somehow i misspelled camaro lol

either way even if the engine was shot the body is worth $500 or more.

500 bucks i think that cars worth more like 2,500(if the engine knock is noticable enough). even with a knock as long as it isnt too bad change the MAF and your oil maybe she will quite down. drive it for a few summers and get a crate motor. the paint doesnt even look that bad. thats a nice solid car, a little TLC you have yourself a 4,500 car ( dont sell it regardless). even if you have to buy a new 350 shortblock(1,500 bucks or so), that car is worth more than 2,000 bucks. i paid 2,200 for my 89 RS 305 and your paint is better. you stole that car, pure and simple and the guy that sold it was the world biggest fool, thats the bottom line. i couldnt believe that guy didnt know what he had. the fact is these cars do hold their value unless they are trashed. not collector items, yet but are worth quite a bit more than a cavalier, corsica, or any other GM vehicle from these years, except the corvette and buick grand national

well the guy i bought it from was my brother best friend so,anyways he bought the car for 1500 drove it home with no problems.then it started to flood like he*l.so he replace the injectors with some mustang injectors.that didn't solve the problem so he then replace the EGR valve,fuel pressure reg,and all the sensors.still didnt do it so he gave up and bought another iroc.so the car just sat 2yrs the paint was all faded covered with green sh*t.so i just ask him u wanna sell the red camaro he was like i have to think about it,then he finally said aight i was so damn happy.
