Funny story on the rims. I really do not like them that much either. I ordered rims from a place out in Cali when I finally got them I was so excited I put them on the car immediatly. After looking at it for a day or two I realized that they were not the rims I ordered. I called the vendor and they wanted me to ship back the rims (at their expense) the only catch was they were not willing to order or send the correct ones until they go these back.

To make long story short they ask if they reduced the price on the rims (these rims cost the same as the ones I orderd) would I keep it. SO to get to the point I got the rims, tires, chrome lugs and locks for $400 delivered.

And now guess what I learned to love the rims .

BTW the paint is original (except the bumpers and well louvers)

I could see why you didn't notice the difference right away. Those are really similar. To me it's hard to find a set of wheels that really work with 3rd gens.

Re: My '91 Z28

I agree not only was it hard to find a pair that works well. It was almost impossible to find a pair that would fit. I really did not want to do the same old star. Everyone has that already.

I wanted a rim that I would not see on someone elses Third Gen

Thanks

No I have not taken any pictures of the interior or engine.

I changed the seats to 4Gen leather that came out of a '99 Firebird. Look amazing. If and when i finally get it out of the shop I will snap some pictures of the inside.

i have not done anything to the motor yet!! So the pictures would be just another 305 TPI for now.

Where do you see swirl marks. There is alot of sun glare and a dirty camera lens. I actually juts had the car wet sanded and polished before the pictures.

However it has seen too many electronic washes

Re: My '91 Z28

swirl mark remover would probably take the swirls out fairly easy. As for the Ram Air II Hood.....This hood can look good....but it has to fit with the rest of the car. Stance, paint, wheels....this isn't just one of those hood you can install...and make it look right with the lines of our cars. A great example of this hood is on Camaroguy18's Camaro....looks amazing..

Oh I figured you were talking about the Ram Air II hood. Hmm, I think a Teardrop 70's Z28 hood would set your car off better.

My car's in my garage. Was supposed to do a Tune up this weekend, but I got the parts late, and I was busy with other things. You gotta stop by one day so I can see that car man!

I do not think I really like that hood.

My car is hibernating for the winter. I will probablly take it out some time next week if the weather is good. I have to finish the rearend/brake job. Waiting for parts.

In one pic you can see it (2nd pic) The sun reflection is hitting on the hood, you clearly see all that hazyness/cobwebs around or on the hood blisters (also last pic on your taillamp/rearbumper) Most cars have swirl marks from ppl not knowing how to protect/maintain there paint correctly. Swirl marks come from improper washing/ carwashes/ improper usage with rotary/buffers/ or wiping it with a dirty rag/dirty paint. Its noticable esp on darker cars. My super low mileage 91 Z28 black used to have swirls all over the place. Then i bought a PC (Portle Cable orbital buffer) and got some polishes/sealant/waxes from AG with good quality Microfiber towels. Then no more swirls after! Also get some halogen lights, so you can see the "true imperfections". It took me about 6-7 hours and boy was it worth it! Im not trying to insult your car, its a sweet car. However, you can make that paint glow better then it was brandnew. Just giving out some advice.

No insults taken. I was just curious how I could make the car shine better. When we post to these boards you have to be open to advice and suggestions from the family (board) members.

If anything I would thank you for telling me things to do to make my ride better.

Re: My '91 Z28

very nice. just picked up an 89 RS and was planning on doing the same thing. Black, louvers, ram hood, keeping the stock rims though. now I know mine will look good too (when I'm done years from now).

Funny my first wife use to say to me that I loved my camaro more then I loved her.

I always responded with that I had better sex (and more frequent) with the car. So yes I did love it more
