My 91 RS Before/After Pictures

In Oct. 06' I bought this 91 RS for $1200, I was 17 then, and had always wanted a Camaro, I bought this without telling my parents and just brought it home. My mom was pissed. My dad was mad at first, but grew to love it when i got her fired up in two weeks of owning it, after sitting 5 years.

Here's BEFORE:

...And AFTER:

As you can see, i'm not nearly close to finishing, I plan on getting an SS hood, Eagle Alloys 203 rims, z28 spoiler and minor body work then paint, then...engine swap eventually...

Tell me what you all think.

I agree ^^^^! Get rid of the IROC emblem. The rest of the car made a really nice improvement. Keep the updates coming!

Re: My 91 RS Before/After Pictures

here is a quick suggestion... i would get some thing to cover the subs so they dont get damaged at all by the sun. i had a similar box in my old camaro, and you could watch the subs fade and potentially deteriorate. i sold the car before i noticed much of a difference in sound or quality or anything. but it could also prevent somebody from breaking in.

I love white camaros. I think i have issues tho because theres somthing i hate about Iroc badges on a 91-92 gfx car, It screams fake to me. I like the car tho keep it coming.

Re: My 91 RS Before/After Pictures

I'm keeping it white, but getting it done way better than this paintjob. I had an iroc and put all the iroc stuff on this car, im putting on different badges later i actually hate the gold.

Re: My 91 RS Before/After Pictures

Are those door panels stock for 91-92 RS's? I always wondered where my door panels came from. Nice car. I'd leave it Arctic white for sure. There are only a couple colors I'd want my 3rdgen to be. Red, Black or White.

Looks very nice! Where are you looking that a new front ground effect is $400? I replaced mine and if I remember right, it was only $200.

Re: My 91 RS Before/After Pictures

I have a set of 4th gen seats, I think they are hideous, so I'm going to get my power seats out of my iroc and get the done in black vinyl and put them in here. I just hate the grey/black seats that I have, they are ugly.

yeah i'm not crazy about the two tone either, but they sure are a lot more comfy than the worn out 3rd gen set i replaced.

would love to recover mine in black vinyl as well, maybe someday...

Re: My 91 RS Before/After Pictures

To the last 2 comments, how much would it cost to have them recovered in black vinyl...like if you do it how much do you feel it will cost?

Let me know because I see ALOT of people recover their seats rather than buy new ones, with style.....and I just want to know why....it has to be the cheapness of recovering them...?......?

I think it's about 200-400 to recover them depenmding on the shop. I live in the Los angeles area, so there's pleanty of shops. I'm recovering them because I miss my iroc seats, and they are confortable, but tan.

I have leather Silver with black piping iroc seats....they are extremely comfortable....maybe Ill just get them redone...the Silver is starting to become....um...darker than silver...DIRTY AS A ****.

Anyone know of any good vinyl aftermarket seats with brackets?

Let me know because I really dont want velour for my seats.

Looks like your dog got mad and started to chew on the dash for keeping him in there. Im sure your car had a musty, damp smell to, i know mine did when i got it. You did a good job cleaning the engine bay.
