I Took the Camaro out of storage last Thursday. and worked alot on the car today. i had some over heating issues with the new L98. but i re-wired the fan with the ON switch and now the fan is always on. and motor runs much better since then. I also put new shocks for the hood to hold by its self. fixed my seat belts and windshiel washer motor. also fixed the exhaust and instaled my restored 16's. Here are some pics i took later on today. i will be putting new 245's in the front tomorow (will post pics). also i still need to instal the new bumper and fenders that i have bought. keep track of this post, i will be updating all summer with vids and pics. Thanks Jazz.

Re: Spring PIcs and progress on my IROC (Look for updates)
It was about 2am and i was driving back from one of my buddies place. and i was in a 70km/h zone doing 80, and the power was out and the city put some stop signs in the middle of the road and i didnt see them (its a 3 lane and there 2, one between each lane) and i hit. right after that i called the police, and while i am talking ot him 2 other cars hit the signs. what a shitty night...

At the garage where i got the L98 swap done. took him 2 month doing it in lost time, so during that time it was stored. cost nothing.

Re: Spring PIcs and progress on my IROC (Look for updates)
Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you!

You need to solve the overheating problem though. Having the fan running all the time is not the solution and will cause the car to be overcooled.

Re: Spring PIcs and progress on my IROC (Look for updates)
Well i didnt have any overheating issues in reality, i drove 3 hours before i conected the fan to be always on, just you could feel that the engine was running a little to hot for its liking, the fan was coming on a little to late to my liking. but now since i conected the fan, engine runs much better in the long run and is much more healthy.

For the Z28 sign, i couldent tell you it was there when i bought the car.

Did you restore the wheels yourself? They look pretty good. That is a lot of snow in those first few pics. I don't like cold that much to handle that much snow!!!!!

Re: Spring PIcs and progress on my IROC (Look for updates)
Looks nice under the hood. A little elbow grease (along with sandpaper & buffing compound) can go a long way on that plenum & runners.

Now, get the crinkled fender(s) fixed and get her painted!

And NEVER think of redoing that Z28 and bowtie between the T-Tops & back glass. Paint over it and pretend it was never there. It seriously looks retarded.

The wheels turned out really good. What did you use to strip the clearcoat off?

I don't know what he used, but aircraft stripper works best IMO. Just be prepared to re-paint any paint on the wheels if you get it on there.
