Opinions/pics?

I have a 1992 Camaro RS, which is blue on the outside, and the inside was originally grey/light bluish carpet, and greyish/blue door panels i think? I have the door panels the same as they were, I just started to paint some interior trim black and i just cant find out how it will look best. I have only painted the passenger and driver side door trim and kick panels? So if I should stop where I am I can atleast stop ahead of time. So far I have 4th gen ebony leather seats, 4th gen matching seatbelts, and dark black carpet, with grey interior trim, and it just doesn't quite look right... Any opinions/pics on the best setup for my car?

Re: Opinions/pics?

I love the 4th gen seats... I just don't like the grey door panels and trim, and the black carpet. Just doesn't look right. I have solid black carpet, not light charcoal or anything like that. Its permanent marker black, ebony leather seats which have a charcoal color, and grey door panels and trim. What can I do without doing too much, maybe a lighter carpet? I wanted like a dark grey anyways.

I think you're right. Get gray carpeting. Looks very nice though.

Re: Opinions/pics?

i disagree, i really like the black carpet. I think were just used to seeing everything match in a thirdgen, so it looks kinda odd maybe even different, but its clean and looks nice.

I think you should keep it the way it is.

I think that if you got some of that black Duplicolor vinyl/carpet dye that they sell at the auto part stores, and sprayed the lower carpeted area of the door panels with it, that it would look perfect.

Re: Opinions/pics?

From the pics you posted, the black looks like a good accent choice. If your carpet were gray also, all the solid grays might make your interior monotonous. Frankly its hard to "match" the same colors, especially of different ages. It could look like they were supposed to match but but you failed.

No matter what everyone else says, I you don't like the black, the most you can expect is to accept it. Sometimes that works out for the best.

I would think trying to "dye" your carpet would be difficult. Going darker is challenge enough; bleaching lighter sounds very problematic

Re: Opinions/pics?

I'm going to take pics of the hatch area. Because you can see more of a contrast between the grey panels and the black carpet and how it just doesn't quite look right

Re: Opinions/pics?

I looked at the posted pics again and I still like it. Maybe hatch area pics would change my mind; we'll see. BTW, your dash says Z28 but your profile says RS?
