New updated pics of my 87 IROC
I got this car in a trade for my 87 Corvette Roadster. Since I have had it I removed the IROC stripes because it was peeling in certain areas. I think this improved the cars overall appearance since I was not crazy about the stripes to begin with. Perhaps down the road I may get it again if I feel the need to. As of now my next plan is to get two new side windows because mine has scratches on it. Once that is done..then the tint will come. Anyhow here are pics. Enjoy.

Very clean ride man! Cant beat the look of a mint third gen. These cars have timeless lines.

Yes I traded it because I have kids and its hard to enjoy the Vette when you have kids. I can still enjoy the hobby with them and have them participate. Besides.. 3rd gens are really hard to come by in mint condition. I can find a dozen C4 vettes like mine any day in the exact same condition whereas the 3rd gens you can't. And besides it only has 87k original miles on it as well now.

Beautiful car! I agree that finding clean ones is not that easy--unless you are willing to pay for it.

Nothing like red on an IROC-Z! I did prefer the stripes though, but it's still nice.

I was too for awhile. I used to own an 89 IROC vert. It was black. Was the first car I bought. After I sold it.. I ended up getting a 92 RS and then the Vette. I was itchin to get back into another IROC even when I had the Vette.

I have a 86 Trans Am and a 91 RS. The Trans Am has plenty of power for me, but the two cars I want in life to be compltely happy are a 69 z28 302 and an IROC L98.

Re: New updated pics of my 87 IROC
It will. Just keep going at it little at a time. It took me 10 years to get my vette to where I wanted it. I traded it for this IROC because I didn't want to get into another resto job right away. So I think I got a fair trade knowing how hard it is to find a clean 3rd gen. This car was taken cared of by the previous owner who restored it.

Either you live right around the corner from me, or there is someone with a car exactly like yours living there. You live off Dabbs Bridge Road by chance? If so, I've seen you several times. I'm usually in my red 05 silverado with black 20's, but I think you were behind me once last year when I was in my camaro. I live off Hwy 61 in Burnt Hickory Estates. Anyway, if it's not you I guess I'm just talking stupid. Otherwise, I'd like to see your car sometime. Actually, I think I saw you in Burger King off Hwy92 a couple weekends ago too. Really nice car BTW.

I'm sure shipping and handling shouldn't be to bad to ship that front clip up north. I hear Irocs like cooler wheather anyways. you would just be looking out for your passion..... Right?

I don't like my "POP-UP" headlights at all. Like the clean lines of the late 80's headlight package on the front clips of the Irocs....

Well, Canton is close, but it's not him. I've seen this car several times in the last few weeks by my house in Paulding Co. It's identical to yours with the stripes deleted and everything. It looks brand new, red interior and all. It does say IROC-Z on the front windsheild though. Congrats, you have a twin. lol

Re: New updated pics of my 87 IROC
Wow! What an awesome looking car. I love to see these cars unmolested. I like mods too but like it was said before, its getting harder and harder to find these cars in mint condition. I love my Z28 but I wish I had found an Iroc in the same shape as mine.
Congrats on the trade.
