Re: start-to-finish
i'd go another half coil however my tq arm is already hitting the floor board on hard bumps. i'm afraid i'd bust a hole. the dilemma is i also want to mount slicks for some track time. any lower and i won't be able to fit them. i guess the only fix is coilovers. so i can adjust height. yea, deployment money!!!!

Re: start-to-finish
What Torque Thrust wheel did you go with. They look like the AR605M but my wheel guy says the two off-sets that you can choose from (+24 or +34) on the 18 x 9's won't work on rear of a thirg gen. Your car looks great!!! My car is identical to yours except for a cowl hood. It has a 383 in it now but i just started building a 6.0 LS for it.

I think the stance is dead on perfect. I'm also very interested in your exact TT2 wheel style and offset/backspacing. Please post the particulars when you get home.
And I wanted to mention, Thank You for serving our great country!

Re: start-to-finish
My wife is great. I know that in my situation alot of women would have bailed a long time ago on the whole car thing. I put it in my marriage agreement that the car stays though. Ha Ha..She doesn't want to hear about the car at all but she puts up with it. On the other hand I haven't gone overboard with the mods either compared to the list of things I want to do to the car. Family comes first.
That's not to say it doesn't come up in conversation from time to time...to sell it, if you know what I mean.
Keep up the good work. I look forward to reading more about your accomplishments. Good luck.

Awesome build man.....
I just read almost the entire build from the beginning !
When you get home can you post up where you bought the wheels & the offset specs?
I would love to put a set of those on my 91 z28 vert!
Thanks

Re: start-to-finish
Absolutely the best for the price gauges out there.
I ordered a full set for my LS1 swap. I LOVE THEM. wiring is super easy, quality is great, they look awesome, you customize them FOR FREEEEEEE, I got mine in like two weeks, they really cut shipping costs for me (to CFB Petawawa Canada) and their customer service is the ****.
If you have any questions about instal, I can likely answer. I have a picture of mine lit up in my LS swap thread, and I have a thread from when I first received them.
I should be giving them their first road test this weekend.

Re: start-to-finish
well, after some time working on other projects, now is the time to get the car finished up and put back on the road as a daily driver. maybe, only for a short while. wrapping up my 20 year career in the Marines and retiring next spring. got to get her "done" before school starts 2016. so standby for more updates.

Re: start-to-finish
well, had issues with the car not starting. Turned out to be a bad ignition switch. so i changed it and car now starts. so it got me kicked started to installing gauges. I got the temp and oil sensors installed along with the tach wired. I think the hardest part is just going to be the fuel gauge wiring. put some power to the gauges and they look awesome lit up....can't wait. here's a pic of them in the panel.
