First pics of the Z28 **UPDATED**
I had this car torn apart for about 3 years. I swapped interiors out of my 89 cause I wanted it all black. Converted it from auto to a manual. Did a ton of suspension work and got the wheels on. Still undecided on what hood to put on.

Looks good! They favor ROH Drift-R wheels. What wheels are they?

man that thing looks killer. and i love the wheels. how hard was the manual swap?
Re: First pics of the Z28(yes they are 20's)
The swap was a serious pain in the a**. There were no pre marked holes on where the floor woulda been punched out if it was a manual. I had to take countless pictures and trace the floor with paper on my 89 rs manual floor board. Definetly took some time. The rims are actually american racing "killer" rims. 20x8.5 in the front and a 20x10 in the rear. I wanted to go with a 19" up front but they didn't offer it on this rim and I couldnt pass up the deal the guy shot at me.

Hey Method_z28
Personaly I always wonder what I would do to my hood ran across ideas but none really interesed me we basically have the same cars but yours well looks way better! What I would or what I am going to is get the stock hood in iberglass and add the hood louvers, thats what you should od.
And what rims are those?
Tony.

Car is sexy. I usually don't really care for murdered out cars... But this is SICK!
Re: First pics of the Z28(yes they are 20's)
I see that you're in Cleveland and I am too. Would you mind working on my Firebird? I would love for you to do my engine swap! If you do your own work. Give me a holla,

Thanks everybody. These pics actually dont give the car and justice. I need to take some outside. The car just looks mean with the black on black rims I think. I was a lil skeptical with the 20 up front but when I got them on and took a look it was just meant to be. I don't think it woulda looked as good if the rims were all black with no polished lip.

Re: First pics of the Z28(yes they are 20's)
Very very nice. Has a real serious look about it. I really like the stock Z hood but if you want a different suggestion, look at the Jongbloed style 3" cowl hoods. Sometimes they're called Sunoco style. I've only seen two on cars and one is on mine so its not a look you see a lot. Ebay has them usually, plus they're fiberglass so our small hood struts can lift it easily. The cowl follows the normal hood lines so you could put the blisters on, which would look sick IMO. Awesome car again...

Now thats my definition of badass. Soon i will get rid of the green with gold rally stripes for something similar to you method.
As like others, when i saw the thread tittle i was kinda iffy about it, but you pulled it off wonderfully.

Re: First pics of the Z28(yes they are 20's)
Yeah I had to run spacers and I shaved a bit of the rear lip. When I would hit a serious bump they would rub a little bit. I took them to a friends shop and used his bridgeport he had in the garage and shaved a lil over an 1/8 of an inch off and not one problem. I even had 2 people and put the subframes on so they didnt rub even with the added weight. if it wasn't a 20 x 10 in the rear and a 20 x 8.5 I coulda jut got a smaller spacer and not have any probs but I had to get the 20 x 10....especially after a ton of people around here said it wouldnt fit.

looks good, out of curiosity, why are all the photos labeled "ebay" ? Is this how your purchased the car, or are you listing it?

Looks G R E A T! I love black camaros, thats why I drive one. I agree with Blew-By-You on the Jongbloed hood option. Otherwise leave it that way. Two things you might consider is doing the amber delete on the taillights since you got the cleared out lights up front and raising your dual/duals up a little bit, other than that I think you deserve a break.

Murdered out means the all black theme.
And your right about black rims. I think all black rims should have a chrome/polished lip. Car looks real good and I would keep the stock hood too. If you think about changing it, I would do an SS hood and keep it simple.
