its been a while but heres my new build 92 RS

heres some pics of my project,

i picked the car up last spring for $600, it was an rs 6 cyl auto car with a blown motor and bad trans. the body was in fairly good shap overall, there was some typical inner fender rot in the rear and a little bit of cancer on the fender lip...

i took the motor, trans and rear out, i built a 383(385cu in) with a newer 350 corvette block 4bolt main, had my machine shop bore it .040 over fly cut it and deck it it.. the aligne bore was good surprisingly but i put a forged eagle internally balaced rotating assembly in it with 6in rods, and 10.2:1 pistons, had a set of aluminum vortecs ported and flowed with an rpm air gap intake. roller comp cam.(AFR 1054 heads and victor Jr on order)full legnth super comp headers with dual 2.5in exaust with H pipe and dual 3in offset flowmaster mufflers welded together in the stock location with the pipes running tight to the trans tunnel and over the axles on both sides, i used a serpentine pulley system out of a late model K1500 truck with high output altinator and custom A/C for those hot days(gotta love it!) I used a fan out of a stock taurus SHO dual speed fan that puts out abt 4800cfm on the high side for excelent cooling

the trans is a TCI th400 with upgraded sprag and man/auto valvebody, 3200 stall

i used a crossmember from UMI with driveshaft loop its a nice piece but i needed to elongate the mounting slots to fit the factory crossmember mounting holes.

the rear is out of an 02 formula 3.73 disk brake rear with moser axles and locker center section. i also used a UMI adjustable tubular torque arm. i used stock lower control arms but put urathane bushings and boxed them out and painted them black.

rear suspension is stock 6 cyl springs with a larger diameter swaybar(i think 22mm) with urathane ends and lakewood drag shocks

front suspension is z28 springs, no swaybar, stock K member and A arms, but A arms have urathane bushings and new balljoints, lakewood drag struts and wilwood brakes(just bought will be installed in abt a week)

im running the car on mickey thompson E/T streets 10x26 in the rear on draglites and 5.5 x15 rims in the front
i have a custom autometer dash and wideband O2, b&m mega shifter..

square steel stock fabricated for subframe connectors.

as of right now this is the only pictures i have in my computer but i have more in my wifes camera from the actual build just gotta upload them.
hope you like.. open to any ideas

Sweet!

Looks fast, haha.

Those truck accessories come close to hitting the hood?

they clear with about 3inches.. but i was able to get more side clearance for the headers.. i was able to use the higher amp altinator, and the a/c compresor from the truck bc i wired the whole car, so minor changes in the main charging harness but never have any issues with charging or loading the system.

yea its pretty fast.. lol my good friend mr zex helps with that..lol

Re: its been a while but heres my new build 92 RS

it runs pretty good i must say.. its got vortecs on there right now with an rpm airgap intake.. its got a ton of power and pulls the front wheels now but i just orderd a set of cnc'd AFR ported heads and a victor Jr, so im hoping to pick up abt 60-75bhp bc the vortecs are only cleaned up and flowed but not ported.
