Ok we like this board so much we wanted to join in on the fun.
We just picked up an IROC to restore and kinda bring back to life. In the process of doing this we'll shoot a bunch of how to videos for you guys, so that you can see how to install some of the parts that we sell.
I can wait to dive into this thing. It should be a fun one to do.

I will be following this as well.
Also, thanks Tony, you really provided the BEST help and service I've gotten on my Iroc project so far. Even when it was the UPS's fault!

Do you guys ship overseas?
My car is still quite rough at the time, and there are a lot of things I still need and want to do. Looking for alternatives at the time.
Also looking forward to the videos.

While we don't directly ship overseas, we do work with a company who does. If you need help here, PM me and I'll pass you their info.

Re: 1aauto.com Camaro Z28 IROC Project Car
Still have a lot of prep work to do before painting, then new glass but when that is done, weatherstripping is one of the items I'd be looking for.

I wish I was aware of the photo shoot. I could have drifted around Mike in the blown foxbody....lol

A rolling-resto with an unlimited source of parts? What's not to like.
We'll try to forget the "cheezy" bit.

I'll be curious to see how your drip rails fit. As it stands I can still only locate one GM one, the other one is AWOL, so as it stands right now I'll be using your drip rails someday.

Seeing the door apart reminds me that my water shields are shot. Any chance one of the 1A vendors could be convinced to reproduce that?

Re: 1aauto.com Camaro Z28 IROC Project Car
that's a great idea. I know you can make them, but pre formed ones would be awesome
by the way, when you take the sweeps off, a 7MM offset wrench makes the job 10X easier
Re: 1aauto.com Camaro Z28 IROC Project Car
Here's a video Mike did yesterday. It will show you guys how to remove the T-Top weatherstrip from your car.

Re: 1aauto.com Camaro Z28 IROC Project Car
this is good for the company because know you know what fits, what doesnt and what could be in demand, i think that honestly a smart move on the companys part, actually showings its products in use on one of thier own restoration vehicles. cant wait to see the vids and updates dont skip out on pics though please.

Re: 1aauto.com Camaro Z28 IROC Project Car
No offense Tony, but you might want to tell Mike that these videos are great, but I wouldn't go prying on the doorjamb with a putty knife or screwdriver to get this process started. I understand that the car you guys are using will probably get painted before the new stuff goes in, but a lot of people are replacing the weatherstripping in their cars and don't need paint. There are probably better ways to show this that would be usable for cars of all conditions.

Yeah, I thought the putty knife was a amateurish way to do it too. Good way to rip your christmas trees rightout of the cardboard

I hate to bash anyone because I love this thread and the videos, but it bothered me they were demonstrating such a sloppy way of doing it. Come on guys, this isn't car warriors and you aren't in that much of a hurry. Do it the right way.
