My First Third Gen Project.
I have been a member on here for several years and I have worked on several third gen's but never owned one. My brother in law owned a few that I worked on and I mentored my bosses son in his 350 build and swap in his. well my best friend wanted to build one so we found a t-top 85 Z28 basket case and started working on it. several months into the build he was killed on his motorcycle when a drunk driver turned in front of him. I have decided to build one in memorial to my friend so I found a much better condition 25th anniversary 92 RS. its a 305 auto hardtop. there is no rust and I picked it up for $3700. it has a strut tower brace, needs door hinge bushings and if anyone has dimensions for the upper bushings I have access to machines so I can make a set. I have ordered a wonderbar from TDP, adjustable LCA's and panhard bar from Founders and I have a Spohn TA and cross member. I also plan on doing a 406 swap and feeding it E-85. the 700R4 was just rebuilt, it shifts hard and is supposed to be fairly bulletproof, we will find out once the 406 goes in. I know I will have many questions and look forward to everyone's input. I will post pic's as make progress.

First off sorry about griend Wade, That is a great idea since grief is easier to handle when you are busy. Post up some pics of the car and good luck on the build.

Tribute builds are the best! I commend you for doing this, for your on sanity, along with memorializing your friend. Good luck and ask away.

Re: My First Third Gen Project.
Thanks! it is virtually a rust free car, but it does have the issue with the paint peeling. I need to do the door hinges then I will look into having it repainted. I haven't seen black headlight buckets on a white car, I will have to look into it, it would have to be amazing to get me to change it, I love the clean white look.
