Re: 92' Camaro Project went backwards
Awesome job, I sprayed my first car last year.. and rushed a bit on the clear.. Wanted to be ready for a car show in two weeks time.. Either I had not enough pressure, or my atomization was crazy, but I got terrible orange peel, (In my home build garage spray booth) sanded for hours and I think I took 75% of the clear I laided down, off

It looks good Charles! Will just have a lot of wet sanding to do down the line, no biggie, just no time before the show.

Not much to take a picture of Charles, pulled the paper off, moved stuff around a bit. Should be together soon!

Your car looks great Grngry! Looks like it was a pretty good show. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend this year.
Maybe next year.

Re: 92' Camaro Project went backwards
Thanks, I drove it across town last weekend to an Italian Car day and was fortunate enough to catch an open spot in the guest parking next to my favorite car of all time, Countach! Car would be totally done, but football season happened. Just need to finish up the gaps, get all my little scratches out from buffing, and get a shop to put the front window seal in. It's looking great though, very happy with the way it came out. I'll take out out and get some good shots when it's all done

Re: 92' Camaro Project went backwards
I should finish up buffing this weekend. Finally got the right compound to get all the wet sand scratches out, this clear is hard as heck, I had to get a rougher compound. Also have to touch up the front ground effect when it gets warm enough, I burned through it. Then maybe another weekend to play with gaps, and get someone to set the front windshield. All minor stuff, just takes time.

Re: 92' Camaro Project went backwards
Thanks. Made a few dings in the fenders trying to fix the hood gap. Going to take it to PDR on Friday and then the car is gravy. Will take it out and get some good pics, and some photos of the completed emblems sometime in the next couple weeks.

Re: 92' Camaro Project went backwards
Thanks LSX and T56 is the only must on the list. Ideally I'd like to do a newer 6.0 with a magnacharger, LY6, L96 or something. I'm still saving doing research, so if I find a good used maggie that won't fit that things might change.

Looking real good man! The buff made a huge difference, especially in person.
Liking your plans with the LSX/Magnacharged!
Lol, got my POS somewhat together. It's slowly looking like a "show car" again, and not like a, well a POS.

Re: 92' Camaro Project went backwards
Lol, Buggy, you could still take me even without a FP regulator right now. Engine swap is probably a ways off still, but thats what I'm working towards at least, car has just about everything else already. Can't wait to see yours up and running good, it looks like you've been making good progress even if it isn't as quick as you hoped.
