Also I read that porting and bigger runners would help a lot with the vortec heads and gain a nice amount of hp

Alright guys sorry i have not posted in awhile ive just been a little busy.

I bought that bike for $400 it is a 1982 honda cm250 that only has 7k miles on it. I had to get it some tubes and tires and re jet the carb but the bike is good now so i can get back to the camaro.

Since my last post i bought leds for the interior from super bright leds. I had to send my speedometer in to get fixed. I sent it to http://www.scottspeedometer.com/

I also bought an uncovered abs headliner from amazon
Acme AFH12-Uncovered Uncovered ABS Plastic T-Top Headliner Board : Amazon.com : Automotive Acme AFH12-Uncovered Uncovered ABS Plastic T-Top Headliner Board : Amazon.com : Automotive
its nothing special i still need to get it covered.

Here's some pictures of what ive been up to.

Re: 1985 Iroc Complete build

The carpet was a little bit rough at first but its been sitting in a humid florida garage all summer and feels much better now

The seats are not recovered they stood the test of time though and managed to stay in mint condition. There's not one rip.

I did steam clean the carpet before painting it so im sure that preparation helped a lot.

Thought you were going to go with the $1200 one from Advance? That sounds like the easiest way to get it on the road. While it can be almost theraputic working on them, the fun is in the driving!

ive been hearing some bad stuff about spartan motors plus i might as well save up a little bit more and get a better motor with more power.

Sweet.. btw ... does it make sense to put the dash in first.. and cluster after? Or at the same time?

They charged 120 with shipping which at first i was skeptical about but they replaced everything and did an awesome job so i would say it was completely worth it. It might have been less but there was so much wrong with my speedo

That's not bad. Thanks for posting! May be worthwhile to have them overhaul the entire cluster (fix the screaming tach, etc).

Curious do you have to swap the master cylinder along with the proportioning valve for disc breaks? Just wondering because I did the drum to disk posi swap nd can't get break pressure, I swapped the proportioning valve already guess I missed something

Re: 1985 Iroc Complete build

Your doing a really nice job! It looks great! The seats look like they have been replaced at one time. Those seats look like the custom cloth seats from 88-92 camaros. I think The 85-86 seats looked like velour. Anyway I think its great that your bringing this car back to life.
