I think I have been bitten by a bug or something. I have a really nice 87 IROC but I think I want another one. Last night i was looking around the net and saw a photo of a yellow 85 Z28. Something about that yellow with the silver rocker panels just speaks to me. Im thinking about looking for one. My wife is going to kill me when I tell her I want another one. I hope Im not alone.

 

Ahh - know what you mean, you are a 3rd gen hoarder - like me, except I wanted one of each, a GTA and a Iroc vert.

I show the wife some really nice photos of Mr IrocZ's vert and she loved it ... except mine is not close to his yet ... but I got one

Show her some pics of a nice yellow one, use as your desktop background etc ... work it man, work it !!LOL

That's a great suggestion but my wife is nowhere near a car person. She couldn't care less about them. I think I'm going to change my home screen to a nice yellow 85 though anyway. She loves me and likes me to be happy. LOL!! A decent yellow 85 will take a while to find anyway. I have time to work on her. My biggest problem is that I only have a 3 car garage. I HATE leaving cars out in the driveway but I think I can make that sacrifice for a nice 3rd gen. The great thing about these cars is they are relatively inexpensive.

 

This is a hobby that keeps "you at home" and "around the house" and "you and me can take Sunday drives for lunch dates" or ..... (use this one if you can afford it) ..."to the jewelery store" LOL, I advise not to use that one ...the best one is ... this hobby "Keeps me out of the Bar" - some of us anyway...

I'd love to have more than one F body, but I don't have the time or money to finish the one I have, let alone multiples.

 

finally got ma 88 iroc. now im in the market for a 4th gen lt1 lol it happens

 

got a vert and a T-top, both are 91s..... really want a hardtop to complete the set

 

I got 2, 85 z my first car and project car for last 3-4 years. Just recently brought an 91 rs for dd because I can't work on my 85 Z right now because I got it with another mechanic and my truck broke down. Nonetheless I will have to get rid of the 91 eventually. Rather have my sweet mod out 85 z than the perfect running stock 91.

The 92 was my first car. The 69 I bought in '10. I've always had the 92 but a few other f-bodies have come and gone. I had a 99 camaro, black with t-tops, very sweet cruising car. When i sold the 99, part of the deal was an 88 TA w/ 305tpi/a4. That was a burnout machine and the highest top end car I've ever had but i sold it. I want a camaro of every body style but that will probably never happen. Two are expensive enough! If I couldn't work on them I definitely couldn't afford them.

Technically, right now i have 3 Camaros, the 92, the 69 and my LS1 donor car! For the 92 of course.

 

 

I have an 89 re vert, 89 iroc, and an 82 MSE T/A, my wife is cool about it, neighbors hate me though!
